FOCUS OF THE MONTH

Those who God has set free are free indeed

SCRIPTURE OF THE WEEK

Overview: People of today are watching the Church. If we expect to experience the promises that God is offering us, we must go out to the highways and hedges and seek people who are not like us. God has been faithful to us despite how we’ve handled the evil around us. It’s time to pursue that which is good in the sight of God as we travel through life, because it’s what we bring back that counts. How are we as a Church impacting the communities? Even though we may face much opposition and persecution, as we do the work of evangelism, God delights in watching over His children.

When we feel overcome by the troubles of life, we can rest in the knowledge that God will rescue us out of those deep waters. Remember, the Holy Spirit is our sweet companion throughout our whole lives. Allow Him to guide us in our deepest troubles and shoulder the burdens we bear.

We may not always get this walk of Christianity right each and every time.  Remember, we all are like sheep that sometimes stray away from our God given assignments. However, Jesus bore all of our sins and we are forgiven! When we falter, ask God to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.  Then strive to imitate Jesus as the Holy Spirit guide us in the ways of a true Christian, to win souls for the Kingdom of God.

Inspirational Thoughts from Sister Clovia Thompson   – Unsung Servants of Christ

A servant is a hallmark of Christian leadership.  These unheralded heroes of faith live lives of selfless service, humility and love.  There are many unsung servants who faithfully support the 5 A.M. Bible Study Ministry over these many years, who stay in the background and continue to play an important role.

One of those unsung servants is Lillian Divers.  A sincere gratitude for all she has done in the Lord’s service.  For many years she opened her home for monthly meetings and meals.  She shared her church, Mt. Carmel, for special events.  She prayed for the needs of the ministry. She and her husband, Rev. Ronald Divers, served as spiritual advisors for the Ministry.

Sister Divers is indeed a reflection of God’s love and we want her to know that we have noticed and appreciate all that you have done and continue to do.
