Overview: God the creator of heaven and earth made everything good. He made man in His image and likeness and said, this is “very good”.   Therefore, we should take joy in being creative as we navigate through this beautiful world. However, we must remember that on our journey, God wants to communicate with us.  In order for us to freshen our time with the Lord, we must create new methods to fellowship with Him. We must be mindful to examine our hearts to determine whether we are consumed with ourselves.  If yes, have we become so selfish that we forget to pray for others.

Remember, in times past, the devil had us bound up and we could not free ourselves. But God, who is rich in mercy sent Jesus to rescue us from the penalty of sin.  Let’s never lose sight when praying for others, that we too, are still an unfinished work. We may sometimes falter, however, God is able by the power of the Holy Spirit to change our lives and complete the work that He has begun in us.

If we say we have faith in God, we must be a people of action. Again, these are the times where we must learn to be obedient and creative in our ministry assignments as we reach out to those in need, particularly with widows and orphans.

Don’t give up on God and He won’t give up on us. If we find ourselves withering and not producing fruit because of sin and selfishness in our own lives, we must repent and allow God to continue the work that He has begun in us and begin to flourish and bear fruit in His vineyard. Remember, He made us “very good”, for His glory!

Thoughts from Sister Clovia Thompson   – God’s Masterpiece

Ephesians 2:10 says “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before hand that we should walk in them.”  Without question, we are God’s greatest creation.  We are His crowning achievement.  He has created us for a unique and awesome purpose and NOBODY can overtake our place.

We are special, created by the hands of God Himself, awakened by His breath, filled with His Spirit, and redeemed by His blood.  Let us live as what we are supposed to be:  God’s Masterpiece.

You are a masterpiece, a picture of pure love

For you are put together by the Creator up above.

You are a work of art, God knew just what to do

For He put His image and heart inside of you.

You are a perfect picture, you look like no other one

For God’s picture of you is in the likeness of His Son

You are a masterpiece, a stunning success

God’s handiwork at its best.

As God’s masterpiece, it is time for us to flourish and to bloom where we are planted.
