Overview: Holy living and good deeds should be our lifestyle. As we devote our whole heart in obedience to God and others, whether secretly or openly — God will reward us. As much as lies in us, live peaceably with all men. Just as God has shown us mercy — we must do likewise towards each another.

When we sin, repent.  Remember, God honors our brokenness. Let’s accept God’s forgiveness and love as we humble ourselves and draw closer to Him. He will restore the joy of our salvation.  We may not always feel up to the next ministry assignment that God gives us, but our relationship with Christ will allow us to trust and rely on the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit helps us overcome our hesitations and fears.  He will give us everything we need as He teaches us to serve and honor God in all that we do. We can be totally confident that God is our foundation, even though life will shift and become uncertain from time to time.

We must trust and obey God’s Word with our whole hearts during stormy times.

Thoughts from Sister Clovia Thompson

Have You Taken It To Jesus?

 This week’s lessons focus on honor, mercy, power, brokenness, provision and God’s Word.  Everything we need for a godly life, God has provided:

 Have you taken it to Jesus?

Have you left your burdens there?

Does He tenderly call you?

Have you surrendered to Him your cares?

Have you taken it to Jesus?

Just the problem that is pressing you now?

Are you trusting Him completely;

With the when, the where, and the how?

Oh, the joy of full surrender —

Of our life, our plans and our all

Proven far above our asking

That our God answers when we call.

He gives us the strength to go on when things are going the worst.
