Overview: Though we may have good intentions to please God, there are times in life that we may doubt Him. Let’s ask God to teach us how to act on what we do know about Him. We can be confident that He loves us and no matter what we encounter, nothing can separate us from His love. We must trust Him to show us ways to respond to such an extravagant covenant relationship with a thankful heart.

Our reasonable service to the Lord is to live a godly life. Keep in mind that we were all sinners because of Adam, however, God extended grace and forgave us through the blood of Jesus Christ, His Son. When we are tempted to lie about hidden sin in our lives, should we continue to sin because grace abound? God forbid! This is not excusable! God wants us to come to Him in faith and repent.  It is true that we all have a sin nature but the Greatest Genius, the Lord Jesus Christ, took us out of the junkyard of despair and gave us hope. He forgave us and put our broken lives together and shaped us into new creations.

In closing, when we are doubtful or tempted by the things of this world, remember, we can trust God with our today and our tomorrows. He sees the beginning to the end.  He is strong and wise enough to handle every situation in our lives.

Let’s walk by faith and not by sight.

Thoughts from Sister Clovia Thompson

 Open Our Eyes Lord

Open our eyes Lord to the work to be done in your name,

So we can see and help those who are afflicted, wounded and lame.

When we do this, you will receive the glory and the fame.

Open our eyes to our hearts Lord so we can feel the sorrows that others bear

And make others burden ours because we truly care.

Open our eyes to our faith Lord so we can listen and see and

Let the Holy Spirit guide us to where we need to be.

Open our eyes to our souls Lord.  Shape us up Lord so we can see and know you are our Redeemer and we love you so.

Open our eyes to the gospel Lord and send us forth we pray.

The need is great.  Your call we will obey.

Your love compels us.  We must go!

The Lord openeth the eyes of the blind: the Lord raiseth them that are bowed down: the Lord loveth the righteous.  Psalms 146:8
