Overview: God has given us The Perfect Gift! His Son, The Lord, Jesus Christ. He is longing for us to give ourselves completely to Him.  As we approach this new year, let’s do a new thing and promise to devote our hearts, minds and will to Him today. Out of a heart of thanksgiving for what Christ did for us, let’s humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God.

It doesn’t matter how hopeless our situations may seem, remember saints, God is always on our side. We must stay focused on our individual assignments that God has given us and not be distracted by how we perceive things to be, but instead, continue to use our talents and abilities to serve others who are in need.

We must pray and ask God to multiply His love in us. In response, God will reveal the secret sins in our lives.  Keep in mind that no sin is hidden from Him but perfect love will cast out fear. Therefore, we must repent and receive God’s forgiveness and begin to listen more carefully to His voice when He calls us to an assignment.

Every day and everywhere Jesus deserves to be celebrated regardless of our current situations. Let’s be grateful for The Perfect Gift, Jesus Christ, as we yield our will to Him and worship Him with our whole, whole heart.

Thoughts from Sister Clovia Thompson

On God’s Side in 2017

If God can move us from 2016 to 2017, He will move us from

Shame to glory

Insult to result

Sorry to glory

Disgrace to grace

Hopeless to hope

Only God can turn

A mess into a message

A test into a testimony

A trial into a triumph

A victim into a victor

When we reach our lowest in 2017, God is our hope

When we reach our weakest, God is our strength

When we reach our saddest, God is our comforter

Only God can bring

Peace to our past

Purpose to our present

Hope to our future
