Overview: God is all knowing and timely. He sent His Son when the set time had fully come. Whenever the children of God become discouraged, we can trust Him to intervene in our situations of life right on time. While waiting on an answer for a particular situation, we must continue our mission by telling others about how and when God saved us.

Let’s trust the simplicity of the gospel by the power of the Holy Spirit to change the hearts of those to whom we minister to.   Let’s remind them that even though human love may fail us sometimes, the enduring love of Christ is forever. Assure them that once they come into a relationship with Jesus Christ, they will be locked into His love for eternity.

No matter how difficult life becomes, it helps to stay focused on the fact that we have been given a unique stamp of approval as ambassadors of Christ. Let’s not be intimidated by this world’s view of Christ.  Let’s be bold to share the very nature of God as we share His love. In doing so, there may come a time when life’s demands will deplete our human energy. We must then go into a solitary place to be alone with God and pray. He will not only help us to cope with the difficulties of life but God will also renew our strength.

Monday, December 26, 2016 – On Time – Luke 2:25-38

Focus: The timing of Christ’s birth was based on the omniscience power of God. Therefore, as children of God we can be sure that He knows are cares about us when we become hopeless. Let’s trust and wait on the Lord, He’s always on time.

Thoughts from Sister Clovia Thompson

A New Year Perspective

My Father’s ways may twist and turn.

My heart may throb and ache.

But in our heart, we are glad we know He makes no mistakes.

Our cherished plans for 2017 may go astray.

Our hopes may fade away.

But still we will trust our Lord to lead for He does know His way.

Though night be dark and it may seem that day will never break.

We will pin our faith in all in Him because He makes no mistake.

There is so much now we cannot see our eyesight is far too dim.

But come what may in 2017, we will simply trust and leave it all with Him.

For by and by, the mist will lift and plain it all He will make.

Through all the way, although dark to us, our God makes no mistakes.

In 2017 we will trust in the Lord.

We will not lean to our own understanding.

We will acknowledge Him.

And He has promised us He will direct our path in 2017.
