SCRIPTURE OF THE WEEK
(10) In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother. (11) For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. 1 John 3:10-11

Overview: God wants to produce the fruit of the Spirit within us so that we can exercise love and self-control. Just as He saved us, there is no secret what He can do for others. So let’s publish the good news of the gospel so unbelievers can experience the deepest needs of the heart as they accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. As witnesses for Christ, we must be sure to give Him first place in our hearts and value His standards as we honor Him. Others will see our commitment and their lives may be impacted. Remember, God is a forgiving God and does not keep record of our failures, we too must forgive those around us. We must also spend quality time to know God intimately in order to be effective in introducing Christ to the world.

Thoughts from Sister Clovia Thompson – It is time for the 5 A.M. Ministry to have a checkup to assess our spiritual health. 2 Corinthians 13:5 tells us to examine ourselves to see if our faith is genuine and to test ourselves to know that Jesus Christ is among us; if not we have failed the test of genuine faith.
Love – The theme for February is: As God so Love we Must Love. Are we reaching out to others in love?
Are we responding with patience and kindness when people get in the way of our plans?
Are we putting Jesus first in all things and eating daily from the spiritual foods in the Bible?
Are we taking our spiritual B vitamins: be kind, be patient, be self-controlled, be gentle, and be faithful.
Regular checkups help us to restore spiritual vitality to the Ministry. Let us be spiritually fit, feed on God’s Word and exercise our faith daily.
