Overview: Many of us have suffered loss and have had deep sorrows, however, we know that Jesus cares and He comforts the broken-hearted.  As we study and memorize God’s Word, it brings healing and God seals it in our hearts, thereby giving us strength to truly be committed as we demonstrate our love to Him by serving others. Our mission is to disciple others who would never dream that they would be welcomed into the family of God so, we must be sensitive to their needs. In our quest to save some, we must have a proper balance of public service and private solitude, so let’s be sure to take time out to rest and be alone with God as we continue to pray. During this time, we will be reminded of God’s faithfulness to see us through the struggles that we may encounter that may cause us to fear. It’s then, we can take courage and remember the character and track record of God and give Him praise.

Thoughts from Sister Clovia Thompson –

The Great Commission and How we can Fulfill It

Matthew 28:19 is one of the most important verses of scripture when it comes to fulfilling the Great Commission. We are commanded to reach out to a broken world, but most of us are too busy to really take this command seriously.

This week’s lesson gives us a few ways and opportunities we can reach out to others.

·       Reach out to the broken-hearted and comfort them in Jesus n  name.

·       Treasure God’s Word in our hearts and teach it to our children in our home.

·       Be a witness through our life style, character and action.

·       Serve others in Jesus name and take time for rest and for prayer alone with God.

The Great Commission is too big for us to accomplish alone and too important not to try to do it together.  Do not take the Great Commission as your great omission or your great suggestion.  It is not an option to be considered, it is a command to be obeyed.
