Monday, December 14, 2015 – Let’s Celebrate – Psalm 150
Focus: The outward expression of our praise will come from an inner wellspring overflowing to God for all of His benefits toward us. Let’s allow the Holy Spirit to teach us how to give meaningful praise.
Scriptures: Ephesians 5:18-20

Tuesday, December 15, 2015 – The Importance of How – Numbers 4:17-32
Focus: Though we don’t often get to choose the work that God intended for us to do, we can choose how we will do it. Let’s continue to remain humble as we serve a holy God and others with our whole heart.
Scriptures: Colossians 3:17, 23-24; Philippines 2:14

Wednesday, December 16, 2015 – Holy is Your Name – Exodus 20:1-7
Focus: We must be reminded that, as we use the name of God, we must always honor His holiness. Whether we are preaching, teaching or speaking, let’s never empty God of His weight and glory.
Scriptures: Psalm 8:1-9; Matthew 5:33-37

Thursday, December 17, 2015 – Christmas Rest – Matthew 11:28-12:8
Focus: The weight of this world is too much for any of us to bear. Jesus was born for the purpose of forgiving us of our sins and to free all that are weary. We must rest in the finished work of Calvary.
Scriptures: Hebrews 4:8-11; Hebrews 3:10-11

Friday, December 18, 2015 – Reaching Out in the Darkness – Psalm 139:7-12
Focus: There are many challenges and obstacles that we face in life that could cause us to lose sight of God’s promises. By faith, we must reach through the darkness of fear and hold fast to the light of God’s presence.
Scriptures: Hebrews 10:22-25; 2 Timothy 1:5-11

Thoughts from Sister Clovia Thompson –
Let’s Celebrate
Jesus is the Reason for the Season
We gather together each morning to celebrate Jesus and lift up His holy name.
Forget your problems it’s time to dance and sing, to shout out to all “why Jesus came!”
Get out of your beds, stand on your feet and lift your voices because there’s no time to rest.
We come to celebrate – the time is now to give Jesus praises for being the Best.
Reach out in the darkness and go tell it to the mountains.  Tell it everywhere that Jesus Christ is born.
This day we will celebrate Jesus, the reason for the season!
