Every September, we recognize Healthy Aging Month to raise national attention on the health and well-being of older adults. Read about our focus on supporting efforts to help people stay healthy and independent as they age. You can also help spread the word by sharing our MyHealthfinder resources to encourage adults to protect their health as they grow older.  If you’re interested in national efforts to improve health for older adults, check out the Healthy People 2030 Older Adults objectives. And take a look at the Healthy People 2030 Healthy Aging Custom List to find a wide variety of objectives that are directly or indirectly related to helping people stay healthy as they age. 


National Recovery Month

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) observes National Recovery Month every September to promote and support new evidence-based treatment and recovery practices. Share our easy-to-understand MyHealthfinder resources to encourage people to talk to loved ones about alcohol misuse and drug misuse. And use our MyHealthfinder resource to encourage parents to talk to their kids about tobacco, alcohol, and drugs.
