Overview/Theme:
Sunday – Anyone who puts their trust in Jesus becomes one with Him. Regardless of one’s background and differences the world will begin to see the mystery of God’s love in a unified body.
Monday – Jesus chose death to give us life. We too, must be willing to pour out unconditional love to all people instead of condemning them. Perhaps, they will see Jesus in us and ask, what must I do to be saved.
Tuesday –Keep in mind that we are God’s brand stick. Jesus’ death and resurrection plucked us from a burning hell and reconciled us to the Father. Be thankful for eternal life and let’s begin to obey God’s requirements.
Wednesday –There’s nothing we can do without the Lord, we are needy! When we are in any distress or trouble, let’s be honest with God, ourselves and friends who are asking or needing help to overcome.
Thursday –Let’s not be ignorant my brothers and sisters of the unseen oppositions in the dark world. They are real, however, God is greater and we must trust Him to give us courage to stand against evil.
Friday – We all have fallen short of God’s glory and have brought shame to ourselves and God. If we are in a place of broken fellowship with God, repent! God is faithful to forgive us and restore our lives better than before.

***The English Standard Version (ESV) stands in the classic mainstream of English Bible translations over the past half-millennium. The fountainhead of that stream was William Tyndale’s New Testament of 1526; marking its course were the King James Version of 1611 (KJV), the English Revised Version of 1885 (RV), the American Standard Version of 1901 (ASV), and the Revised Standard Version of 1952 and 1971 (RSV). In that stream, faithfulness to the text and vigorous pursuit of accuracy were combined with simplicity, beauty, and dignity of expression. Our goal has been to carry forward this legacy for a new century.
To this end each word and phrase in the ESV has been carefully weighed against the original Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek, to ensure the fullest accuracy and clarity and to avoid under-translating or overlooking any nuance of the original text. The words and phrases themselves grow out of the Tyndale-King James legacy, and most recently out of the RSV, with the 1971 RSV text providing the starting point for our work. Archaic language has been brought to current usage and significant corrections have been made in the translation of key texts. But throughout, our goal has been to retain the depth of meaning and enduring language that have made their indelible mark on the English-speaking world and have defined the life and doctrine of the church over the last four centuries.
The ESV is an “essentially literal” translation that seeks as far as possible to capture the precise wording of the original text and the personal style of each Bible writer. It seeks to be transparent to the original text, letting the reader see as directly as possible the structure and meaning of the original. More about the ESV translation philosophy….***

Inspirational Thoughts from Sister Clovia Thompson
Suit Up and Pray
Our enemy is real and furious and will stop at nothing to try to bring us defeat and destruction. God reminds us in His Word to stay aware of Satan’s schemes and to stay close to Him. It is time to suit up and pray!
Praying God’s Word back to Him is a powerful weapon against the forces of evil. It reminds us that God knows our way and understands what we face today. It builds our faith and trust in God. It guides our hearts and focuses our mind back on Him. It is time to suit up and pray!
God’s Word says to “stand our ground” and that is what we will do in the power of His name. The enemy has no control over us and we bring God’s Word of truth against our enemy. We know we do not fight alone. Our Commander-In-Chief is constantly at work on our behalf, shielding, protecting, strengthening, and exposing deeds of darkness. He brings to light what needs to be known, covering us from the evil attacks we face even when we are unaware.
That is why we must suit up and pray!
