Overview/Theme:
Sunday – Observe how God provides for animals. How much more should we trust Him, even when we have unanswered questions about daily living. We must pray for wisdom and God will give us a prosperous end.
Monday – Every day the Lord carries us in His arms and takes us through difficult situations that seem to be over our head. We must trust Him first and He will extend grace to take us to new places.
Tuesday – Life is filled with beautiful and terrible things, therefore, the good and the bad happens to us all. We must not be afraid, instead, awaken to the truth that God loves us and will be with us to make us strong.
Wednesday –Keep in mind, before we tackle any task or trial, we must always pray first.
Thursday –Do not think it strange that we have to suffer. Jesus allowed Himself to be pierced to bring us spiritual peace with God. We must thank God for Jesus regardless of our difficult trials.
Friday – Out of a thankful heart, we must never forget that It’s our duty when it’s in our power to help others who are suffering or in need to help them as we have opportunities.
Saturday–
***The English Standard Version (ESV) stands in the classic mainstream of English Bible translations over the past half-millennium. The fountainhead of that stream was William Tyndale’s New Testament of 1526; marking its course were the King James Version of 1611 (KJV), the English Revised Version of 1885 (RV), the American Standard Version of 1901 (ASV), and the Revised Standard Version of 1952 and 1971 (RSV). In that stream, faithfulness to the text and vigorous pursuit of accuracy were combined with simplicity, beauty, and dignity of expression. Our goal has been to carry forward this legacy for a new century.
To this end each word and phrase in the ESV has been carefully weighed against the original Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek, to ensure the fullest accuracy and clarity and to avoid under-translating or overlooking any nuance of the original text. The words and phrases themselves grow out of the Tyndale-King James legacy, and most recently out of the RSV, with the 1971 RSV text providing the starting point for our work. Archaic language has been brought to current usage and significant corrections have been made in the translation of key texts. But throughout, our goal has been to retain the depth of meaning and enduring language that have made their indelible mark on the English-speaking world and have defined the life and doctrine of the church over the last four centuries.
The ESV is an “essentially literal” translation that seeks as far as possible to capture the precise wording of the original text and the personal style of each Bible writer. It seeks to be transparent to the original text, letting the reader see as directly as possible the structure and meaning of the original. More about the ESV translation philosophy….***

Inspirational Thoughts from Sister Clovia Thompson
Awaken the Dawn
Five words in this week’s lesson jumped out at me when David said “I will awaken the dawn”. As I read these words from Psalm 57, the Lord began to speak to me and said: If you want out of this dark place, awaken the dawn. It is time for us to rise up and awaken the dawn. Cry out to God in that secret place. Do it with endurance and persistence.
The song that awakens the dawn is the song that is sung at night. You may be in the middle of your night time experience with darkness on every side and saying to yourself “will morning ever come?”. When we learn to let the song of the Lord rise up inside of us, that song becomes the song that awakens the dawn. You will praise Him when He answers.
I want to encourage you to rise up like King David in Psalm 57, to awaken the dawn and see God’s breakthrough over the circumstances of your life.
“My friends, make time for God every day so He will have time for you.”— Sister Clovia
