Overview: In life, many times we try to hide our ugliness and reveal our good side so that others will love us. We all are a work under construction and God loves us despite our secret sins. We must be willing to repent and allow God to transform us into the image of Jesus Christ. This can only happen when we decide to spend time with God and in His word. Then, we will become like a tree planted by the rivers of water bearing spiritual fruit .

God is all knowing and there are times when He may test our faith through a difficult drought, tried by fire, it is only then that God can mature us for His glory. Let’s continue to lift up our faith to God, trust Him in all situations every day of our lives. All of our days are numbered, however, when death comes, we can be sure that God will not abandon us but has prepared a place in heaven for us.

In the meantime, let’s tell everyone we know about the greatest invitation that God has offered mankind through His Son, Jesus Christ. Let’s remind the lost to repent, ask God for mercy to forgive their sins and receive the free gift of eternal life today.

Monday, March 27, 2017 – Image Management – Isaiah 43:1-9

Focus: We often want people to see the good in us and not the ugly because we are fearful that they won’t love us. Despite our secret sins, God still loves us. Let’s repent and accept the reality of God’s immeasurable love and allow Him to transform us into the image of Jesus.

Scriptures: Luke 7:39, 44-48; Psalm 19:12-14

Tuesday, March 28, 2017 – Bearing Good Fruit – Psalm 1:1-3

Focus: We must be rooted and grounded in the love of Jesus in order to bear the fruit of the Spirit.

Scriptures: John 15:1-7 (Scriptures in devotional)

Wednesday, March 29, 2017 – Trial by Fire – James 1:1-12

Focus: Our growth in faith is sometimes made possible through difficult circumstances. Though tried by fire, we must trust God to mature us for His glory.

Scriptures: Romans 8:18; 1 Peter 4:12-16

Thursday, March 30, 2017 – Life and Death – Genesis 50:22-26

Focus: Let’s continue to lift up our faith to God each day of our lives. When death comes, we can be sure that God will not abandon us but has prepared a place in heaven for us.

Scriptures: 2 Corinthians 5:1- 10 (use scriptures in devotional)

Friday, March 31, 2017 – The Greatest Invitation – Isaiah 55:1-7

Focus: Let’s be mindful of the greatest invitation that God ever made to mankind. Eternal Life begins by accepting Jesus. Let’s witness to the lost and remind them that now is the time to repent of their sins and ask God for mercy to forgive them and receive the free gift of life.

Scriptures: John 6:27-35

27th Anniversary of the 5 A.M. Bible Study Ministry, Inc.

One score and seven years ago, there was a hunger in the land for a grand feast

Where a group of people joined together to study God’s Word, from the greatest to the least.

Let’s rejoice over these many years at a holy hour of every morn

The 5 A.M. Bible Study Ministry was born.

God bless Nadine Cager, Pansy Wells and the late Barbara Fielder who planted the seed

And became workmen that were not ashamed to meet every need.

And those who came after them who rightly divided the Word of Truth with care

To build this unique telephone ministry and weekly Hour of Power of Prayer.

May we continue to follow their example that is so bright

Generously studying to show ourselves approved by God and do what is right

Like these three spirit filled women may we give God our best

To feed our mind, nourish our soul and come to Jesus for rest.

Over these 27 years, we thank God for what He has done

As we hook up each morning to study His Son

May our work keep on growing

And our love and peace keep on overflowing.

Happy Anniversary 5 A.M. Members

Keep on studying.

Keep on improving to God.

Keep being unashamed gospel workers and

Keep on rightly dividing the Word of God. (Thoughts from Sister Clovia Thompson)
