Overview: God is omnipresent and sees all things. Let’s be mindful how we treat and respond to each other as we see the day of the Lord approaching. How will we rate during the interview? Most of us try to offer our best gifts to please God with the life assignments given us, however, there are times when we feel like a failure. Jesus’ arms are wide open for us come to Him with our shortcomings and broken hearts. He will lovingly forgive and restore our souls.

Because we stay in close communication with God, He will continue to use us to leave a spiritual inheritance to those whom He has entrusted in our care. So let’s not grow weary in reflecting the reality of God’s love to others. Now, when life becomes so demanding and hard to manage, to the point where things begin to slip through our fingers, don’t become overwhelmed.  Instead, trust in God with all of our concerns.

As we continue to face the task of making many choices daily, let’s be careful not to use our liberty in Christ as an opportunity to cause anyone to stumble. Instead, stay humble and trust God to guide us to do what is best. Remember, God sees all things.

Thoughts from Sister Clovia Thompson

God’s Hands!

This week I meditate on one phrase in verse 12 of Isaiah 40, “who have measured the waters in the hollow of His hand”.

As I meditate on this truth, I find myself awe struck by the greatness and the glory of God.  How He poured the ocean from the palm of His hand.  How whenever I gaze upon a huge body of water that could swallow me up in an instant, I realize that God, at some point in time, held the entire ocean in the palm of His hand.  This thought simply blew me away!

God’s hands!  They created humanity.  They hold the entire world.  They have scars that forever remind Him of how much He loves me and what a better place to leave my troubles than in the mighty hand of God.

Nothing gives us hope or soothes our anxiety like meditating on the One who measures the water in the hollow of His hands.

Psalm 136:12 reads “With a strong hand and with a stretched out arm: for his mercy endureth for ever.”

Wow, God’s hands!
