Overview: God translated us from darkness to light. Therefore, we are to be the children of light in a dark world. Jesus has promised us another home in heaven where nothing can defile it. However, we are still on assignment in the earth realm to demonstrate the character of God by showing His love, mercy and kindness to those whom the Holy Spirit will randomly bring into our paths.

No matter how difficult the person or task, we must believe that God is at work on our behalf. He is working out things together for our good as He transforms us more into the image of the Lord, Jesus Christ. Let’s keep in mind that as God is transforming us, those secret sins in our lives that are hindering us, are not hidden from God.

Let’s confess our sins and God is faithful and merciful to forgive us, then He can truly use us for His glory. As we reflect over our lives, many of us have had difficult days but as we go forward in the name of the Lord, let’s remind ourselves of the great things that God has already done through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Let’s learn to thank Him for His faithfulness and His joy that remains as we continue our journey through troubling times.

Thoughts from Sister Clovia Thompson

 Just Be Kind

The most important action we can take to improve our relationship in 2017 is just be kind.  This is the greatest gift we can bestow upon another.  If someone is in need, lend them a helping hand.  Do not wait for a thank you.  True kindness lies within the act of giving without the expectation of something in return.

A single act of kindness could make so much difference to both the giver and the receiver.  Just imagine what a thousand acts would do, and who knows, it could go viral.  Just be kind in 2017.  It is not our job to play judge and jury to determine who is worthy of our kindness and who is not.  Just be kind in 2017.

To show kindness, there are many ways
