Overview: (The Value of Man) God made man in His image and likeness. Let’s be careful not to judge people based on how they look or what they do. Instead, we must appreciate the fact that we’ve all sinned.  But God, who is rich in love has offered forgiveness toward mankind because He sees the beauty of who we are.

Therefore, born again believers must develop a relationship with Jesus by delighting to study and obeying His commandments. He will fill us with the richness of His love, wisdom, knowledge and peace, thereby, we will be able to appreciate the fact that we have been purchased with the precious blood of Jesus and not of ourselves.

This knowledge should cause us to desire to live a life of godliness.  This knowledge should cause us to realize that our worth is not in us, but it is measured by Jesus’ redeeming power. Let’s not lose sight on our mission to be lights in a dark world — that’s why Jesus came to earth.

During this advent season, let’s share our view with everyone about the gift of Jesus Christ.  Let’s share that Jesus can help them move from a life of despair to a life of peace. Let’s not grow weary in well doing.  When necessary, set aside time and have quiet conversations with God.  Because He is faithful, God will do what He has promised.  His fulfilled promises will give us peace. During our prayer time, think out loud and count our many blessings despite the challenges we may face with one another and remember, God loves us all.

Thoughts from Sister Clovia Thompson:

We Are God’s Masterpiece

Ephesians 2:10

The Bible says we are fearfully and wonderfully made in God’s image.  We belong to God.  God exchanged His own Son for us.  The cross proves we are valued.  Jesus did not die for junk.  We are incredibly valued.  Nobody has ever paid a greater price than God paid for us.  We are loved more than we will ever know.  We are God’s masterpiece.

If you ever consider yourself unremarkable or even ordinary, you are not seeing yourself as God’s divine creation.  Jesus says:  “My daughters you are worthy of being loved, not because of your personality, charm or sense of humor that I have given you, but because you are so precious to me that I died for you.”

As the daughters of the King, our purpose is not to turn heads.  Our purpose is to turn hearts toward the King of Kings.

As the daughters of the King:

We are strong.

We are beautiful.

We are valuable.

We are virtuous.

We are loved.

We are fearfully and wonderfully made.

Let us hold on to this truth and continue to blossom into the “fearfully and wonderfully made” women that God created us to be.
