Overview: Christians are confronted with temptations every day, however, we must not risk falling into sin. Instead, pray that the Holy Spirit will provide a way of escape. In this fallen world, sin seems to abound and we may question if God has shut heavens doors. We must not lose hope, but continue to read our bibles, pray and listen to the Holy Spirit. He will lead us into all truth about Jesus Christ and His soon return. Let’s not become careless in our Christian walk, but rather wake up so that we can watch and pray because Satan wants to destroy our witness. Let’s be reminded that, if we hide the Word of God in our hearts, it will remain, even if we have memory slips. Be confident that the Holy Spirit will always be with us and nothing can separate us from the love of God. In closing, we have been chosen to live a life that honors Christ. When we struggle in the flesh, let’s be honest with God, repent and allow the Holy Spirit to use us to lead others to Christ.

Thoughts from Sister Clovia Thompson

God Speaks to Us in Many Ways

Our creative God is not limited to one form of communication.  He is all powerful; He is omnipresent; He is sovereign.  The Bible is filled with accounts of God speaking to individuals, families and to nations.

In the past, He spoke in many different ways and that is true today as well:

When we fall, He lifts us up.

When we fail, He forgives.

When we pray, He listens.

When we forget, He reminds us of His promises.

When we stumble, He steadies us.

When we hurt, He heals us.

When we are broken, He mends us.

When we face trials, He is with us.

God is always speaking, tune out doubt, unbelief and distractions, so we can tune in and hear His voice.  Let’s stop talking to God about how big our mountains are and start talking to our mountains about how big our God is.  God sees our struggle,  keep talking to Him and listen to His direction.

He is everything, everywhere, every time and every way.
