Overview: All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. We must repent with a godly sorrow, stay humble and grateful as we serve Him with a pure heart. We must have a strong prayer life as we encounter others who need Jesus, knowing that all things are possible to those who believe. Life is very difficult, and there are times that we don’t make good decisions. However, remember that God is faithful to forgive us whether we made bad choices or not, when we repent. His blessing can come in ways unimaginable as we continue to obey and do what is right. Keep in mind, when we face calamities and we don’t know how to pray, the Holy Spirit will intercede on our behalf, He knows the mind , the will and the outcome that God desires for us in a given situation. In conclusion, if we are growing weary in doing what is right and good for the cause of the ministry, let’s pause and remember God’s presence and power as we continue to put our hope and trust in Him who will renew our strength.

Thoughts from Sister Clovia Thompson – Graduation is quickly approaching. Emotions are running high for high school and college seniors as well as, college freshmen. On one hand excitement and anticipation are off the chart. On the other hand, for the graduates that are leaving home, decisions will be made that will affect the rest of their lives, as they gain tons of independence and responsibility.
For the graduation class of 2016 — here are the Ten Commandments that will help transition to college life and most importantly, adulthood:
1. Praise the Lord and let Him counsel and instruct you. (Psalm 16:7)
2. Don’t be afraid and let the Lord go before you and He will be with you. (Deuteronomy 31:8)
3. Work God’s plan out in your life. His plan is to prosper you and not to harm you and give you hope in the future. (Jeremiah 29:11)
4. Hold fast to God’s statutes and do not be ashamed. Stand up for His law or you will fall for anything. (Psalm 119:31)
5. Keep yourself in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life. (Jude 1:21)
6. Wait for the Lord, be strong and take heart.
7. Be strong and courageous, do not be terrified, do not be discouraged for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. (Joshua 1:9)
8. Let God’s Word be a lamp unto your feet and a light to your path. (Psalm 119:105)
9. Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to your peers in what you say, in the way you live, in your faith and your purity. (1 Timothy 4:12)
10. Give your all to Christ, He gave His all for you.
Graduation Class of 2016 enjoy the journey! Life with Jesus is a blast. You don’t have to have it all figured out, you have the rest of your life to explore with the Lord God who created you.
