Overview: Many of us have made a mess of our lives; however, God has forgiven us. Let’s rejoice that Jesus gave us a fresh start. We must continue to read the bible to appreciate the Author, who is God and allow the Holy Spirit to guide us into all truths. Whether we are young or old, we will all face storms in our lives but remember, God’s love and goodness will surround us. Just wait on the Lord and see what He does. God is amazing and despite that fact that often times we have been rebellious and did not wait on God, the Holy Spirit reminds us that God loves us so much that He sent Jesus, our hope of glory, to pay the sin debt and to give us eternal life. Let’s give God thanks for Jesus by offering ourselves as a sweet aroma as we spend time with Him. In closing, perhaps, others will notice the fragrance and will be attracted to Christ to be their Savior and Lord.

Thoughts from Sister Clovia Thompson – In Genesis 9:13, God says “I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth.” Recently I saw a rainbow in the sky and I praise God for it. It was exceedingly beautiful in its brightness as it encircled the sky with its glorious art.
The rainbow reminded us that no matter how severe the storm, when you are with God there is always a rainbow waiting at the end.
After the rain there is calm.
After the night there is morning.
After the ending there is a new beginning.
For every storm a rainbow.
For every tear a smile.
For every sign a sweet song.
For each prayer an answer.
This week the lessons remind us to count our rainbows and not our thunder storms and try to be a rainbow in someone’s cloud.
