Overview: Jesus redeemed us with His precious blood and gave us new life. We must let our lights so shine as we represent The Light. Though there may be many challenges in this life, it’s exciting to know that we all have purpose and can live with expectancy that one day we will have the promise of heaven. In the meantime, we must continue to study about the life, death and resurrection of “His Story” so that we can properly introduce others to our High Priest, Jesus Christ. As we cry out in worship to thank God for sending Jesus to pour Himself out as a drink offering to pay for the penalty of our sins, we can truly rejoice in His three word obituary, “He is Risen!” and “Is Alive Forevermore”.

Monday, March 21, 2016 – Full Sun – Ephesians 5:1-16

Focus: Jesus redeemed us with His precious blood and gave us new life. We must live as the children of light and produce fruit that will bear witness to that Light.

Scriptures: Matthew 5:16; 1 John 1:5-10, 1 Peter 2:9

Tuesday, March 22, 2016 – The Best Is Yet to Come – Colossians 3:1-11

Focus: Life can be exciting and challenging as we know it now. However, God’s future promise of heaven for the believers enables us to see all of life in new dimensions. Let’s live with expectancy and on purpose.

Scriptures: Galatians 2:20; Philippians 3:10-14

Wednesday, March 23, 2016 – Stories in a Cabin – Hebrews 9:11-15

Focus: Let’s continue to study about the life, death and resurrection of Jesus so that we can become more knowledgeable of His story. Let’s make it our goal to introduce our High Priest to those who don’t know Him. Scriptures:  Acts 2:32-41

Thursday, March 24, 2016 – The Olive Press – Mark 14:32-39

Focus: Our hearts should cry out in worship as we praise the Lord for bearing the penalty of our sins. Let’s be grateful that Jesus loved us so much that He offered Himself as a drink offering so that we could live eternally.

Scriptures: Hebrews 13:12-16; Psalm 16:9-11

Friday, March 25, 2016 (Good Friday) – Three-Word Obituary – Romans 8:28-39

Focus: Jesus sacrificed His life for ours to give us eternal life. We can rejoice in His three Word obituary, “He Is Risen!’ or, “I was Dead!” now I’m alive forevermore.

Scriptures: Romans 6:9; Acts 2:25-36, Revelation 1:18-19.

Thoughts from Sister Clovia Thompson –

Jesus Loves Us, Easter Tells Us So

God loves us, this we know

The Easter story tells us so.

He died for us to bear our sins

and opened heaven to let us in.

Children of Light let’s tell His story

So we can give Him all of the glory.

Let’s set our minds on things that are above

We know the best is yet to come

because of His unconditional love.

Jesus loved us when He died

He loved us enough to be crucified.

But His death did not last very long

Because His power is so strong.

The best of the Easter story is to do our part

To cry out in worship and gratitude from the heart.

And sing an anthem of praise to our Savior

Christ the Lord is risen today and may we live in light of it every day.
