Monday, October 5 – Seconds Count – Psalm 39:4-13
Time is fleeting and no one knows the time we will be called home to heaven. Let’s make every second count for the cause of Christ.

Tuesday, October 6 – Playing with Fire – John 1:10-20
God is not a cosmic killjoy! He loves us and knows what’s best for our lives. When sin is at our door, we must discipline ourselves to obey God’s instructions and not play with the fire of sin.

Wednesday, October 7 – Unclear Vision – Job 19:1-21
There are times when our vision is unclear about whether Satan is trying to break us or God is building our character. Rather than run from the problem, we must trust God with eyes of faith to stay by our side until the end.

Thursday, October 8 – Reckless Words – 1 Peter 2:13-25
People will sometimes insult Christians with cruel words. Instead of retaliating, we must trust the Holy Spirit to help us to respond in a godly manner.

Friday, October 9 – The Song of Our Lives – Job 29:1-6; 30:1-9
Whether our lives are happy or sad, we must remember that whatever we may be going through, it’s part of God’s redemptive plan. Pray that He will give us a new song to encourage ourselves and others and to stay in the will of God.
