Overview:

Sunday     Don’t feel that you are too ordinary to be a leader in the Church.  Are you allowing the Holy Spirit to stir up the gifts that God gave you? If you will allow Him to have free course in your life, you will begin to fervently serve in God’s Kingdom.

Monday – Jesus offered a love feast by sacrificing Himself as the bread that was broken for your salvation. So, you too, must share the bread of life freely so that others can receive the truth about eternal life.

Tuesday –    In times past, your feet slipped into sin. However, Jesus rescued you from eternal damnation and left on record rules for you to follow.  Stay on the right path and don’t look at God’s Word as strict rules, but rather, acknowledge your need for his mercy and comfort. Afterward, begin to share your miraculous testimonies of deliverance with others.

Wednesday Give praises to God for choosing and using you to be one of His masterpieces. Remember, in the Kingdom, you are your brother’s keeper. Build up one another with wholesome words because there is immense power in the words that you speak. You can break or make a person.

ThursdayGod’s hand is upon you! He wants to move you out of your comfort zone! Don’t be afraid, instead, trust God to be with you and raise up others that will support you in your new assignment.

FridayTake off the mask and come together with other believers to be spiritually nurtured in your relationships. Trust God to supply endless love and grace to unite the body to serve Him and each other.

***The English Standard Version (ESV) stands in the classic mainstream of English Bible translations over the past half-millennium. The fountainhead of that stream was William Tyndale’s New Testament of 1526; marking its course were the King James Version of 1611 (KJV), the English Revised Version of 1885 (RV), the American Standard Version of 1901 (ASV), and the Revised Standard Version of 1952 and 1971 (RSV). In that stream, faithfulness to the text and vigorous pursuit of accuracy were combined with simplicity, beauty, and dignity of expression. Our goal has been to carry forward this legacy for a new century.

To this end each word and phrase in the ESV has been carefully weighed against the original Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek, to ensure the fullest accuracy and clarity and to avoid under-translating or overlooking any nuance of the original text. The words and phrases themselves grow out of the Tyndale-King James legacy, and most recently out of the RSV, with the 1971 RSV text providing the starting point for our work. Archaic language has been brought to current usage and significant corrections have been made in the translation of key texts. But throughout, our goal has been to retain the depth of meaning and enduring language that have made their indelible mark on the English-speaking world and have defined the life and doctrine of the church over the last four centuries.

The ESV is an “essentially literal” translation that seeks as far as possible to capture the precise wording of the original text and the personal style of each Bible writer. It seeks to be transparent to the original text, letting the reader see as directly as possible the structure and meaning of the original. More about the ESV translation philosophy….***

Inspirational Thoughts from Sister Clovia Thompson

Words Matter

Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me!  Not true!  Words hurt, scar, and leave wounds all the way down to the soul.  Be careful how you use your words.  Words matter.  Anyone who has been verbally bullied will tell you that while sticks and stones hurt, so do words.  Sometimes much more, physical wounds heal they will sometimes leave scars but you can hide those.  However, emotional scars last so much longer, sometimes a lifetime.

The tongue has no bones, but it is strong enough to break the heart.  Words matter.  Words kill.  Words give life.  They are either poisonous or fruit – you choose.  Be careful with your words, once they are said they can only be forgiven, not forgotten.  Before you speak, is it
