Overview/Theme:
Sunday –Being a quiet witness for Christ may cause others to become jealous. The results may be persecution or even being falsely accused about something that we didn’t do. However, those who are maturing in the faith must demonstrate the love of God regardless. This, in turn, may influence those who oppose us to ask about our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ privately and perhaps, be saved.
Monday – Life circumstances can be joyous as well as difficult struggles. First, we must acknowledge God, then the situation. We can be confident that God will comfort us with His presence.
Tuesday –If and when we make mistakes in life, repent. God is faithful to forgive us and restore us by inviting us to His dinner table.
Wednesday –This is the time that we must listen, study God’s Word and obey it. Our lives will then be built on the solid foundation of Jesus Christ and when the storms of life come, we can stand.
Thursday –If we are quick to plan our next steps in life without consulting God, our prayers may be delayed. These may be moments that God is trying to get our attention. Let’s surrender and allow Him to plan our steps for the future.
Friday – In closing, despite where we are in our relationships or circumstances, let’s offer a grateful heart to the Lord for His love daily. Consequently, when we call upon Him in our time of need, He will answer in His timing and we will be able to graciously accept the outcome.

***The English Standard Version (ESV) stands in the classic mainstream of English Bible translations over the past half-millennium. The fountainhead of that stream was William Tyndale’s New Testament of 1526; marking its course were the King James Version of 1611 (KJV), the English Revised Version of 1885 (RV), the American Standard Version of 1901 (ASV), and the Revised Standard Version of 1952 and 1971 (RSV). In that stream, faithfulness to the text and vigorous pursuit of accuracy were combined with simplicity, beauty, and dignity of expression. Our goal has been to carry forward this legacy for a new century.
To this end each word and phrase in the ESV has been carefully weighed against the original Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek, to ensure the fullest accuracy and clarity and to avoid under-translating or overlooking any nuance of the original text. The words and phrases themselves grow out of the Tyndale-King James legacy, and most recently out of the RSV, with the 1971 RSV text providing the starting point for our work. Archaic language has been brought to current usage and significant corrections have been made in the translation of key texts. But throughout, our goal has been to retain the depth of meaning and enduring language that have made their indelible mark on the English-speaking world and have defined the life and doctrine of the church over the last four centuries.
The ESV is an “essentially literal” translation that seeks as far as possible to capture the precise wording of the original text and the personal style of each Bible writer. It seeks to be transparent to the original text, letting the reader see as directly as possible the structure and meaning of the original. More about the ESV translation philosophy….***

Inspirational Thoughts from Sister Clovia Thompson
A Thankful, Grateful Heart
Lord, give us a thankful heart, one that is appreciative
One that to all Your blessings is sensitive
Let it be a heart that sings Your daily praise
Let it be our gratitude that to You we raise
Let us have a heart truly thankful in all things
No matter what in our lives You choose to bring
Lord, give us a thankful heart one that is hopeful
Let it be the heart of one who is truly forever thankful
1 Chronicles 1:34, O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever.
“My friends, make time for God every day so He will have time for you.”— Sister Clovia
