Overview/Theme:
Sunday – We’re living in perilous times. Therefore, we must pray and look to God for a safe place in Him.
Monday – As we pray, we are to enter into the gates of the Lord with thanksgiving. Praise Him for who He is and not just for what He’s done. In turn, we will become a people that will do likewise toward one another. Let’s share God’s love with someone today.
Tuesday – When unbelievers and Christians see our genuine love for Christ and others, they may be more prone to ask questions about the true meaning of Christmas. This will give us an opportunity to share about the birth of Jesus Christ and His love for a degenerate people.
Wednesday –We must always embrace the presence of God, even in times of difficulties because people are watching. Remember, as we pray, the Lord will lift us up and restore us to go out into the world to lend a helping hand to those in need of salvation.
Thursday – In our quest to share the gospel, people may abandon us. We may feel lonely; however, we’re never alone because God is with us. Let’s rejoice this Christmas and continue to tell others about Jesus’ love and comfort.
Friday – In conclusion, we must trust God and rest in knowing that He knows our ending from our beginning. Let’s continue to allow Him to order our steps in the path that He ordained for each of us before the foundation of the world.

***The English Standard Version (ESV) stands in the classic mainstream of English Bible translations over the past half-millennium. The fountainhead of that stream was William Tyndale’s New Testament of 1526; marking its course were the King James Version of 1611 (KJV), the English Revised Version of 1885 (RV), the American Standard Version of 1901 (ASV), and the Revised Standard Version of 1952 and 1971 (RSV). In that stream, faithfulness to the text and vigorous pursuit of accuracy were combined with simplicity, beauty, and dignity of expression. Our goal has been to carry forward this legacy for a new century.
To this end each word and phrase in the ESV has been carefully weighed against the original Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek, to ensure the fullest accuracy and clarity and to avoid under-translating or overlooking any nuance of the original text. The words and phrases themselves grow out of the Tyndale-King James legacy, and most recently out of the RSV, with the 1971 RSV text providing the starting point for our work. Archaic language has been brought to current usage and significant corrections have been made in the translation of key texts. But throughout, our goal has been to retain the depth of meaning and enduring language that have made their indelible mark on the English-speaking world and have defined the life and doctrine of the church over the last four centuries.
The ESV is an “essentially literal” translation that seeks as far as possible to capture the precise wording of the original text and the personal style of each Bible writer. It seeks to be transparent to the original text, letting the reader see as directly as possible the structure and meaning of the original. More about the ESV translation philosophy….***

Inspirational Thoughts from Sister Clovia Thompson
Jesus Is The Gift
Jesus is the Gift that perfectly fits every heart
And it is with His love that all celebrations start.
We rejoice in Him as we remember His birth
And thank God for sending His only Son to earth.
His life led from a manger to a cross on a hill
Where He faithfully followed His Father’s perfect will.
He freely laid down everything so that He could live
There is no greater treasure that anyone could give.
Like a scarlet ribbon His love wrapped around the cross
And He offered it to us at the greatest cost.
So each time that we give gifts, remember what He has done
And honor the perfect Gift – God’s one and only Son.
“My friends, make time for God every day so He will have time for you.”— Sister Clovia
