Overview: People need to be encouraged today. Let’s offer them hope by saying and doing kind acts to let them know they are loved. We sometimes want to hold on to our old way of life, however, keep in mind that we are pilgrims in this land waiting for the promise of our eternal home. As we long to be with Jesus, let’s show our thankfulness by telling those who are mesmerized by the fame and fortune of mere man that the most important Person in history humbled Himself and went to the cross to redeem mankind from sin. Explain that there is no name greater than Jesus! He is the only One who can save. While witnessing these truths, we may suffer persecution for Christ sake. If we find ourselves in situations where we may want to complain, let’s be thankful that God chose us to serve Him and others. When it’s a difficult person or circumstance, let’s pray and ask God to show us the hidden blessings in the assignment He has given us in our new life in Christ. Through it all, we all must pursue God for true contentment, not man nor material things. He is faithful to fill our hearts with goodness and love which is the best deal ever!

Thoughts from Sister Clovia Thompson –
As we gather around the dinner table on Thursday to share what we are GRATEFUL for with our family and friends, we must remember that we are called not just to SPEAK words of gratitude, but to LIVE and WALK by them!
It is not what we say about our blessings, but how we — USE THEM. This is the true measure of our Thanksgiving!
“Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.” Col. 3:17
