Overview: God is good and He knows what’s good for us. Let’s be mindful that when we ignore God’s instruction, there will be consequences. Let’s get over being angry and begin to listen well to others about God’s character. As we trust God for a prayer partner that will hold us accountable for our actions, let’s be sure to allow the Holy Spirit to work in us and to grow us up spiritually. We must continue to desire to sit at the table with the Bread of Life and learn more about Jesus. He alone will satisfy our hearts and souls like none other, so let’s appreciate the greatest literature ever, which is God’s word. In doing so, the Holy Spirit will bring to our remembrance the word of life that will transform our lives as we become powerful agents of change. The conclusion of the whole matter is to fear God and keep His commandments. As we show acts of kindness to those in need, God’s purpose and good character will be fulfilled through us.

Monday, May 16, 2016 – Is He Good? – Genesis 3:1-8

Thoughts from Sister Clovia Thompson – This week I reflected and meditated on one verse — Psalm 27:13 says “I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.”  Each day I witnessed God’s goodness and wrote one thought about it:

  • Monday –        I celebrated God’s goodness and shared my testimony.
  • Tuesday –       My circumstances are not an accurate reflection of God’s goodness.  Whether life is good or bad, God’s goodness is           rooted in His character and it is always the same.
  • Wednesday – I will live in such a way that as people see me they will see God’s goodness in me.
  • Thursday –     God, your goodness never fails and always prevail.
  • Friday –            I had a cup of God’s goodness this morning and it was good.  I even savored in God’s goodness through the Daily Bread   Devotion and it was good.
  • Saturday –      I realize that I had just a glimpse of God’s goodness and it leaves me wanting more.
  • Sunday –         God’s goodness never ceases to amaze me.

Surely God’s goodness and mercy will follow me all he days of my life.  My key reflection this week is 5 A.M. saints — God’s goodness is always good enough.
