 SCRIPTURE OF THE WEEK

Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. – Malachi 3:10

Overview: The brief but delightful experiences that God uses to remind us of His presence and promises are like an ocean of grace. These times will help us stay focus during the most difficult moments in life. Remember God’s free gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ and that we have been forgiven of our sins. Let’s tell others what the Lord has done to save us. In doing so, we must be gentle but firm about our faith as we witness to many broken, hurting people. Do what we can and God will do the rest. Let’s be prayerful that we don’t become selfish with our time, talents and treasures. All that we have belongs to God, as we yield our will to Him, He will use us to be a blessing to others. All that really matters in life is that God loves us and that He sent His Son as the greatest gift to humankind. So despite the challenges that we may face, we can never be separated from the love of Christ.

Thoughts from Sister Clovia Thompson –

Everything comes from God alone. Everything lives by His power and everything is for His glory.  When we put God first, we have everything.  When we put anything before Him we have nothing.

Experiencing God’s grace and mercy in our brokenness reminds us that His love never fails. Grace is when God gives us what we don’t deserve.  Mercy is when God does not give us what we do deserve.

There is no sin too great for God’s grace.

There is no problem too big for His mercy.

There is no label too strong for His love.

God’s love has no limit.

God’s grace has no measure.

God’s mercy is so great.

God’s power knows no boundary.

What matters most?  God gives enough mercy, love and grace for whatever we face.
